


Our Team

Roxy represents a culmination of a lifetime journey of melding a Pan American perspective of Self Determination via a strong economic base with the appreciation of the power of traditional herbs and roots which can contribute significantly to the health and wellbeing of individuals who are committed to a natural lifestyle. Roxy was conceptualized and registered in 2004 by the then President & CEO Alvin Poyser. The company, however, underwent a name change in March 2006. Roxy is a member of the Jamaica Manufacturing Association and the Jamaica Exporters Association. The current Board of Directors is led by Chairman, The Reverend Delroy Miller, including five other directors: Alvin Poyser, Dr. George Morris, Paul Webster-Haye, Halcyone Russell, Glen Miller and Stephen McPherson.


Alvin Poyser, B.S. Hon. (Mngt), M.A. (Econ), M.A. (Edu)
CEO
Mr. Poyser, graduated magna cum laude in Business from Touro College and earned his masters degrees in Economics and Education from Columbia University. After a few years in Corporate Finance, Mr. Poyser took his first teaching job at Drake Business School and went on to teach at the City University of N.Y. as an adjunct Professor of Business. He also taught at his alma mater, Touro College. In 1995 he joined the New York Urban League, where he counseled at-risk high school students and their


parents. On returning to Jamaica in 1998, Mr. Poyser served as the executive Director for a low Income Housing Foundation, Senior Vice President for Merit Communication and Jamaica Pre-Paid, both telecom Companies. He served on several Boards in both the Private and Public Sectors including the Government of Jamaica Trade Board.
Halcyone Russell
Vice President of Operations
Halcyone Russell is a seasoned sales and a customer service oriented professional with over seven years experience in multiple industries including Verizon Wireline as well as T Mobile Incorporated. Ms. Halcyone Russells experience includes selling to both the private and public sector, which offers a unique understanding of training programs in management, development and delivery; the management of multi--‐functional work teams; and customer service.
Through her experience and education, Ms. Russell has developed a keen sense of marketing and sales expertise. She has had the opportunity to participate in a variety of sales training courses, workshops and seminars that has allowed for a broad resource base on which to build her career. Ms. Russell continues to build a strong contact network through local membership of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She graduated with honors earning a Masters degree in Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Strayer University and is also currently working on a Doctoral in Organizational Leadership.

Mr Poyser received the award on behalf of Roxy Industries Ltd. at a breakfast awards ceremony held at the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston. from the PSOJ for Roxy’s Jobs creation efforts and investment of over $250M dollars.

Paul Haye
President
Paul Haye, president of Roxy Industries, Ltd., specializes in the day to day operating activities of the company. His ability to tailor action plans while working with department leaders creates incredible progress towards milestones and goals. Being from Kingston, he has a personal interest in the growth of the company. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management and an Associate of Science in Logisitics Management. Along with his degrees, he also has 20 years of
working with the Federal Government as a Logistics Manager. His unique business sence, education, and interpersonal skills GIVES Paul the ability omit with the diverse customer base around the world. Paul is an incredible leader and a key member of the Roxy family. His professional knowledge, character and insight will help take this company to the next level.
